The "Uptown Rotterdam parking garage" is much more than just a parking facility; it is a multifunctional building that houses 178 apartments, a multi-storey parking garage and a bicycle parking facility. A key element of this impressive project is the slatted façade with Renson's L.050 aluminum slats, which ensure optimal ventilation of the parking and technical areas while also providing effective protection from the elements. Their special orientation not only minimizes the view, but also ensures a high degree of privacy and security within the building.

The aesthetic component of the slatted façade, which goes beyond its primary technical function, is particularly noteworthy. The walls have been artfully drawn over the non-ventilated facades of the apartments to create a harmonious and visually appealing exterior. This innovative approach was designed by architect Jeroen Hoorn and masterfully realized in close collaboration with Storax, an experienced partner of Renson.

The special feature of the RENSON LINIUS® louvre façade L.050 is the use of Z-shaped ventilation louvres. These louvres provide a large aperture and have excellent weather protection properties. The louvres are mounted simply and discreetly by clipping them into the louvre brackets (L.050.11 and L.050.12 in the butt joint area) that are part of the system. This method ensures that the slats run linearly and also guarantees a solid connection.
