Our products are used in a variety of applications, including industrial buildings, technical facilities, data centers, parking garages, rooftop installations, and complex facade projects.

To strengthen our department for weather protection grilles and louvered facades, we are looking for a technically skilled employee to handle planning, customer consultation, and order processing in our office.

Your Responsibilities at rotec

As a technical planner and sales representative, you will oversee our projects from the initial customer inquiry through to handoff to production. In this role, you will combine technical planning, design development, and customer-focused consulting.

Your responsibilities will include, in particular:

• Technical consulting for our customers on weather protection grilles, ventilation grilles, louvered facades, and soundproofing louvers
• Review of inquiries, specifications, requests for proposals, drawings, and design documents
• Preparation of proposals, cost estimates, and technical specifications
• Creation of overview drawings, detailed drawings, and manufacturing drawings using AutoCAD
• Design of building-specific louvered facades, weather protection screens, and custom structures
• Clarification of dimensions, connections, fasteners, substructures, and assembly interfaces
• Coordination with architects, design firms, facade contractors, metal fabricators, and industrial clients
• Preparation of bills of materials and manufacturing documents
• Technical support for projects during contract execution

Your Technical Challenges

Our projects often involve customized solutions. That is why we must integrate various technical, design, and economic requirements.

For example, a weather protection screen should allow for adequate ventilation while significantly reducing the amount of rain that enters. A louvered facade must function properly from a technical standpoint, be securely fastened, and also meet the architectural requirements of the building.

Among other things, you'll be working on the following topics:

• Free ventilation cross-sectional area and air passage
• Pressure Loss and Airflow
• Rain repellency and controlled water drainage
• Sound Insulation and Selecting Appropriate Slat Systems
• Substructures, Fasteners, and Facade Connections
• Doors, access panels, corners, and special details
• Material Selection, Surfaces, and Corrosion Protection
• Cost-effective and manufacturing-friendly designs

You should therefore enjoy analyzing technical tasks and developing reliable, cost-effective, and manufacturable solutions based on various specifications.

Your Profile

You have completed technical training, for example as a technical product designer, technical draftsman, design engineer, metalworker, construction mechanic, architectural draftsman, technician, master craftsman, or engineer.

A comparable technical qualification is also welcome.

The following are also important to us:

• Proficient Use of AutoCAD
• Good spatial reasoning skills
• Experience in reading and understanding technical drawings
• Technical understanding of metal fabrication, facades, or sheet metal structures
• A structured, meticulous, and independent approach to work
• Friendly and courteous communication
• Enjoyment of providing technical customer support
• Business acumen regarding quotes and cost estimates
• Good written and spoken German skills

Experience with weather protection grilles, ventilation grilles, or louvered facades is a plus. However, it is not a mandatory requirement if you have a good understanding of technical matters and are willing to undergo thorough training.
